There’s tons to not like about this book, but I’ll narrow it down to 3:1. This book was clearly written by a man for men only. There wasn’t much I, a 27 year old female, could relate to, especially not the parts constantly referring to having intimate relations with your woman/wife2. This author is so egotistical. Who quotes themselves in their own book? Also, could he fit in any more references to his business/website? I feel like I bought a glorified ad.3. There’s tough love, and then there’s insulting. I wouldn’t let anyone talk to me the way this author talks to his readers. It’s not motivating or inspiring. It’s disgusting and rude.TL;DR - poorly written excuse for the author to plug his business to other men
So I was looking for some guidance in my life due to a serious work-life imbalance and I saw this book for a cheap price. I’m guessing it’s cheap because it’s short. Regardless it packs a powerful message that most self-help books don’t - own your problems and do the work to overcome them. It’s not sugarcoated and it’s not rainbows and unicorns. It’s in your face and to the point. Life is broken into 4 key aspects (CORE 4) and Whalen gives you steps to reach your goals for each area. But above all, own your life and do your work.
I followed the guy on Facebook, and thought he really is an inspiration to me... I really needed it... But after he called people names all the time like sheeples.... As if someone's opinion on something was beneath him. Well... Your not what your book says you are. Really disappointed in you. You could have made a difference.
Welllll- I got this book thinking I’d be interested in what he had to say. I had a hard time reading this book due to the terrible grammar and the lack of editing. Too many grammatical errors and it’s dounle spaces written in like 20 size font. I’m confused how this guy considers himself to be a coach.... I don’t understand what is so special about telling people to use google to answer any question you have ever had.... he says to use google to become a millionaire- “you just have to do the work†I mean we all know there is more to it than google..... he just seems like a guy who was inspired and now he thinks he can make money by inspiring others..... he even talks about how to find the top man in the industry you’re interested in and copy every single thing he does.... sounds like he’s copied a few millionaires and re wrote their ideas and called them his own.... some people call it life changing and worship him..... I’m not buying it.
This guy loves his ALL CAPS punctuated with lots of exclamation points. This thin book is maybe 100 pages (hard to tell since the pages aren't actually numbered), and set in 16 point type (a tactic third graders use to pad their book reports) of over-simplistic 'just do it!!' rehash/rhetoric. I found myself skipping over entire blocks of inane sales pitch text to get to the fragments of substance in this thing. Meh.
I like how this guy gets to the point with no fluff or just adds words to more words to more words, in order to sell an actual "self-help book" for $15 a pop. This is a fair price for a good quick-read wake-up message.It's a good read to help put things in perspective for those who get lost in the daily bullshit of life and have a hard time just treading life every day.
I love the way he talks to me! This is that book, it is quick , easy to read, simple to follow, raw, harsh, and motivating. I absolutely loved this book and for me it could not have come at a better time. Not sure what in the Universe brought this particular book into my hands but I am Core4. Love this, needed this, and I grateful for the experiences that pushed Sean to create a magificent book. Thank you
This is a self published book so don’t expect much by way of presentation or proper grammar. I loved this book because it’s so honest and gives you a real good kick in the pants. Most self help books are very encouraging, but this guys is blunt and kicks ass. As you read this book you can almost hear the author pumping you up. It’s a very quick read and worth it.
