Definitively recommended!
As Data Scientist interview covers a broad spectrum of topics (and most of us don't work in all at any given point), I was looking for a book that briefly covers all topics for interviews.This book turned out to be a great find.I found the book well written, easy to digest and informative. Answers are clear and helpful.The book covers most popular data/AI topics.Questions on Computer Science Fundamentals (Chapter 1), Machine Learning (Chapter 3)and NLP (Chapter 5) turned out to be the most relevant for my interest. Unlike other similar books, this one has no gotcha questions. Highly recommended.
An awesome collection of typical interview questions and topics. It’s a wonderful book to go through the night before your big day. I especially liked the section on statistics, for many of the often asked trick questions are included. It’s a great boon for anyone preparing towards a career in data science.
It is a great book for Data Science and Machine Learning interview. It collects lots of Q&A for interview preparation, covers from CS foundation to Big Data, Machine Learning, NLP, etc. And it puts the questions into the different categories and makes it very efficient to prepare the interview according to the job responsibilities.Another feature that I like is it separate the questions and answers. It does not put them at same page, it can help me to think about what I will answer the questions before I check the answers given by the book. In this way, it helps me to find out what is lacking from my mind set for the interview and even helps to polish the thinking of interview in my mind.Great book, highly recommended, it worths every penny of it.
Great content and the largest collection of Q&A from Data Scientist/ML engineer interviews I have ever seen. It seems Kal has carefully selected questions that are popular among interviewers today. The book covers the field in sufficient breadth. The answers are concise and to-the-point, so you may need to study additional material from references for deep-dive into specific topics. I found code snippet in the answers very helpful. I would say this is a must-have book to prepare for your Data Science interviews.
This book is an excellent reference manual for anyone doing technical software interviews, even if data science is not the reader's speciality. The author gives excellent questions that are relevant to just about all programming interviews. The questions really do challenge the reader and the author's answers are clear and to the point. I would highly recommend this book be read by anyone seeking a role in a computer-related field. I have had many of these questions asked of me in interviews and I've never seen such a thorough compilation of questions all in one place.
This book is well worth the $50 and your time. If you're applying for Data Science jobs, it really distills all of the uncertainty around interviewing at the top technical companies. It has excellent overview of what to expect in the interview. The problem sets are invaluable. In my experience, even if you do just a handful of exercises it gives you some confidence going into the interview. This is a serious book with rigorousness in details and answers that you wouldn’t find online. Two thumbs up!
