PERFECT! This was exactly what my daughter needed for her 2nd grade "Famous Person Wax Museum" project. We had a project draft due tomorrow and this book provided factual information about her life with the most beautiful artwork! I couldn't have asked for a more interesting book that states her life in a nutshell. It is kid friendly (written on about a 3rd grade reading level) and parent approved!
I absolutely adore this book. The illustrations are beautiful, ethereal, very inviting. Audrey's story is fascinating and it's not totally watered down for children. I highly recommend this book, especially for fans of Audrey (a beautiful human being inside and out) but also to anyone looking for a strong, uplifting story for young girls. She's worthy of much praise, and a wonderfully positive influence.Love this book! Can't say it enough.
This is the nicest book for girls. I like giving biography books as gifts to kids and Audrey's is the best for a girl who loves, music, dance, art, fashion, ballet, life. This really successful women is a great example of the real life and a proper women, better than just blinding our little girls of the perfect prince.
Lovely illustrations which went well with the small book detailing Audrey' achievements in a fairy tale style book---much like a children's book.. I found it to be a short but delightful read.
This is a wonderful way to introduce youths to one of the most courageous and great humanitarians among Hollywoood royalty. Especially meaningful is what she learned from her mother when she was a child and then practiced all of her life: "Always be kind." And, she certainly was. Her greatest role was not in the movies, although they are sublime performances, but as the UNICEF Ambassador to the world.
